Dementia care in Folkestone & surrounding areas

Our team’s approach is always supportive and delivered with care and understanding.

Care, support and safety

We understand that it is important to pay attention to the personal dementia experiences of your family member so that we can provide stimulating and positive support; the kind of care they deserve. We take into account the needs and emotions of every individual and encourage active participation of the individual and their families to create a support plan and risk assessments to ensure our carers are providing a person-centred service but also a safe service. We review regularly as we understand how needs change quickly and our staff are trained to monitor and report this.

There are some 200 types of dementia, the most common of which is Alzheimer’s.  We often hear of Vascular, Frontotemperal or Lewy Body sometimes people will have a mixture of different types.  To find out more visit: www.dementiauk.org
